Digital Workflow
File Requirements
Quality digital files are the foundation of precision restorations. We accept STL, PLY, and OBJ files for intraoral scans and DICOM for CBCT data. Optimal file quality ensures accurate CAD design and well-fitting final restorations. This guide covers recommended settings for all supported file types.
Key Features
Frequently Asked Questions
What STL resolution do you recommend?
Export at your scanner maximum resolution, typically 30-50 microns. Do not decimate or reduce mesh density. File size is not a concern with modern upload speeds.
Do you accept photos?
Yes, intraoral and extraoral photos help with shade selection and aesthetics. Include smile photos showing tooth display and retracted views for reference.
What bite registration format works best?
A separate bite scan showing upper and lower arches in occlusion is ideal. Alternatively, a scan of articulated models with mounted bite record works well.
